Labour to get only six months for Whitehall access talks

The Prime Minister says the Opposition can begin pre-election access talks with civil servants six months before next year's election, contrary to rec

According to The Independent on Sunday, the PM has recommended that pre-election contacts between the Opposition and the Civil Service should begin after this year's party conferences. The story quotes Parliamentary evidence submitted by the Institute for Government, which recommended talks begin after the European elections in May.
