Sturgeon shrugs off Labour opposition to post-election deal

Peter Riddell is interviewed for an FT piece, explaining how minority government worked in Jim Callaghan’s Labour administration and John Major’s Tory government during 1996-97. He points out that governments can carry out much of their work using executive powers, including over public spending – thus minimising the need for Commons votes.
