The Times: Departmental meetings are ‘a waste of time’

Nick Boles, the planning minister, said yesterday that departmental meetings are a waste of time. Speaking at an Institute for Government about effective ministers he said “You don’t discover anything in meetings in the department. You don’t discover what is happening. You only discover that when you are out and about.”
