The Institute for Government invites you to a panel discussion about styles of premiership, from the 19th century to today.

This event  focused on styles of premiership, from the 19th century to today, with particular reference to William Gladstone and Benjamin Disraeli. 

The panel included Dick Leonard, a former MP, now an historian and author; Lord Adonis, former minister and author; Professor Jane Ridley, historian; and Professor Stein Ringen, political scientist discuss the legacy of Gladstone and Disraeli. The event was chaired by Dr Catherine Haddon, Fellow at the Institute for Government.
