Sally Howes

Senior Fellow

Sally has a range of non-executive and strategic advisor positions with organisations undergoing digital transformations in the public, private and HEI sectors.   

Her career started in software engineering in the aerospace and defence sectors, which included technology and programme management roles in international programmes, starting-up a tech and consultancy SME and leading a transformation of the national aerospace trade association. She then switched to the public sector, firstly as Director of Commercial Services in the Ministry of Defence, then Executive Leader, digital and innovation in the National Audit Office.

Sally has a first class honours degree in geography from Cambridge University and a PhD in hydrological modelling for the US Army, Corps of Engineers.
